John Stobie is a seasoned banking executive who serves as Senior Vice President of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management at Three Rivers Bank of Montana in Kalispell, where he oversees the bank’s regulatory compliance framework and enterprise risk strategy. With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, he brings deep expertise in compliance, risk management, and financial operations — helping ensure the bank remains sound, resilient, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
John began his career in banking in the late 1990s and has held leadership roles across finance and lending, including time as Chief Financial Officer at First Citizens Bank of Polson and earlier lending experience, which shaped his well-rounded perspective on banking operations and risk.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carroll College and has completed advanced professional training at the Pacific Coast Banking School, grounding his work in both academic and practical foundations.
Originally from western Montana, John attended Thompson Falls High School before beginning his professional journey, and today he lives in the Flathead Valley region.
Outside of his banking career, John is active in community leadership — including serving as Board Chair for Northwest Montana United Way — reflecting his commitment to supporting local families and civic organizations.
